1840s French Wedding Stand
An early 1840s marriage/wedding stand from France. A very unique stand, that is decked out in French ormolu florals and silk. Hailing from Napoleon III's time period. The stand includes a center mirror nestled within gilded vines and florals that trail up and around to house a silk tufted cushion. Each tuft hosts a small gold star. This is an exquisite pice that was meant for brides to hold keepsakes from their wedding day and to add mementos to throughout their marriage.
