Beautifully hand-chased oversized sugar bowl from the mid 1800s. The initials "MCP" adorn its front and sit within a detail cabochon. Crafted by John Mead who was reputed to the first America electro-silver plater in the 1840s and 50s. The bowl is accented with a border of grapevines. Perfect for soap collecting.
