Victorian Cure All Ointment, Holloway's

Sold Out

This small ointment pot is design perfection. Known as aesthetic movement transferware, these little pots would have contained Holloway's Ointment. Advertised as the cure for gout, rheumatism, and whatever else ailed you. The little ointment was made and sold by "Professor" Thomas Holloway, a known snake oil salesmen in Britain. Crafted in the Staffordshire district and is transfer printed in black. The intricate design is enough to make any designer drool. Perfect for catching jewels, as a unique ring box, or styling your heart away with. Very rare piece.
