Victorian Sainsbury's Bloater Paste, Large

Sold Out

This tall bloater paste pot is design perfection. Known as aesthetic movement transferware, these little pots would have contained a finely ground gamey Bloater Herring fish paste. During Victorian and Edwardian times, these pots allowed people to keep fish and bloater pastes without spoiling. Crafted in the Staffordshire district and is transfer printed in black. The intricate design is enough to make any designer drool. Perfect for catching jewels, as a unique ring box, or styling your heart away with. Very rare piece.
